This is his interview…

Tell us about one of your most memorable design creations (or events) and why it was memorable.

One of my most memorable designs is the chess table that I created for the Naples Tables Luncheon 2020. It’s memorable to me because it was my first year representing my company, Wilfredo Emanuel Designs. I created something from my imagination, and I am very proud of it.  In addition, that table was how I was selected to be on HGTV’s Table Wars.

What is your idea of the perfect flower arrangement? Flower arrangements should reflect the person who is receiving it, it has to be meaningful.  I like to think of it as sending a subliminal message to that person using elements like color and fragrance.

What has been the highlight of your career to date? I’ve been blessed with several career defining moments, they two that come to mind are opening Wilfredo Emanuel Designs and participating in Table Wars.

Where do you look for inspiration? I find inspiration everywhere, in every place at every moment.

Do you have a favorite flower, and if so which one and why? My favorite flowers are yellow roses because they symbolize pure love.

What flower best represents your personality? Why? Orchids are elegant, simple and they stand out. They match my personality perfectly.

We first heard about Wilfredo Emanuel when we received information on the 41st Annual Heart Ball described below.

Naples own HGTV personality and award winning interior designer Wilfredo Emanuel was recently honored at the 41st Annual Heart Ball which took place on March 26th at the Hyatt Regency at Coconut Point in Estero. The globally known designer has been on his heart health journey since surviving a heart attack and open heart surgery at the heart of the pandemic in 2020. He is passionate about raising awareness about heart health in the local hispanic community. Emanuel honored his fellow survivors by creating an immersive and inspirational tablescape of Roses, Orchids, Hydrangea and Anemones in shades of red and white with hints of pink and gold for the “Survivors Table ” which was the focal point of the ballroom and highlight of the event.

Describing the inspiration for the survivor table Wilfredo explained “I used red since it’s a powerful color that is stimulating and signifies energy.  It’s such a highly visible color and for me, it brings me luck and was a color I surrounded myself with during my heart surgery.  White is the purest of all colors, it’s universally known for symbolizing calmness and new beginnings.  I accented the table with hints of gold to signify  cheer and prosperity.  Together, these colors combined have the elements of positivity, support, love and togetherness. All elements that have comforted and supported me through my heart health journey.”

The event produced by the SWF Chapter of the American Heart Association raised nearly $500,000 to provide resources to help people living with heart disease live longer, healthier lives and to help educate the community in order to prevent heart disease. The Heart Ball was emceed by NBC2 anchor Kellie Burns, and featured two separate auctions, the Bay Kings Band, and a night of dancing.
